Each of those positions will be to provide individual level coaching to help increase individuals’ access to recovery supportive resources. One job will be in Tuscola County and the other in Arenac. Residing in those counties is not a requirement, so if you do not live in Arenac or Tuscola your application will still be considered. Summary: The Recovery Access Coordinator is responsible for conducting services for the organization in their assigned counties. The Recovery Access Coordinator (AC) has primary responsibility for facilitating access to Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment or prevention services for individuals engaged in SUD identified primarily in primary and/or urgent care settings; and in outpatient Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) clinics. To accomplish the goals of this position the Access Coordinator will engage in community outreach, development of social events, and network throughout the community to be informed about relevant community resources that support the recovery process. It is paramount that the AC is respectful of all pathways and styles of recovery, is well informed about MAT options and has appropriate affinity for individuals that utilize MAT services. Administrative duties include writing reports, and service delivery problem solving.
Requirements: *Substance Use Disorder sustained recovery experience of at least two years *Recovery coaching certification (CCAR or Michigan model) required; Certified Peer Recovery Mentor preferred *Completion of Project ASSERT training within first three (3) months of employment *Good organization abilities and teamwork skills *Ability to operate independently, take appropriate initiative, and be a self starter *Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Publisher) *Good communication skills; both verbal and written *Creative, friendly, and mature * Social media experience with understanding and respect of the ethical risks associated with having an on-line presence both professionally and personally *High school diploma; some college preferred *Must submit to drug testing as a condition for employment, annual thereafter, and random testing as determined by the Director *Current driver’s license and reliable transportation. A chauffeur’s license is preferred. Employee must provide a copy of the current driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
