Recovery Resources Coordinator
Summary: This job description is intended to clarify responsibilities and duties of the Recovery Resources Coordinator. The role of this position is central to act as a point of contact to providing information, services, and solutions for the organization and the community through the main office located in Bay City, MI. The Recovery Resources Coordinator (RRC) provides necessary administrative support to county coordinators, group facilitators, and to the Director (copies, materials, information, etc.). The RRC provides confidential coaching to individuals when required. This position has a primary responsibility for facilitating access to Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Recovery resources including treatment, prevention, and auxiliary supports that enhance development of Recovery Capital. The RRC services will be available to individuals seeking/engaged in recovery, recovery allies, and interested community members at large. To accomplish the goals of this position, the RRC will engage in community outreach and network throughout the service area to connect individuals with current, relevant supportive resources. The RRC provides support and promotion for agency activities across the seven counties served by Peer 360. It is paramount that the RRC demonstrate respect for all pathways and styles of recovery, is well informed about Medication Assisted Recovery (MAR) options and has appropriate affinity for individuals that utilize MAR services. Administrative duties include writing reports, electronic communications, and service delivery problem-solving. Requirements: *Substance Use Disorder sustained recovery experience of at least two years
*A minimum of nine months experience delivering recovery coaching or other related peer support services; one year preferred
*Above average communication skills; both verbal and written
*Completion of a minimum of 12 hours of RC specific skills development training per year is expected (not compensated)
*Creative, friendly, and mature
**Social media experience with understanding and respect of the ethical risks associated with having an on-line presence both professionally and personally; in compliance with the policies identified in the Peer 360 personnel manual
*High school diploma/G.E.D.; some college preferred
*Adherence to Mission - Conduct reflecting the values and goals of the agency to be inclusive, non-discriminatory, and free of judgement in interactions with others.
*Must submit to annual drug testing and thereafter, random testing as determined by the Director *Current driver’s license and reliable independent transportation. A chauffeur’s license is preferred. Employee must provide a current copy of their driver’s license and proof of auto insurance in the employee’s name.
